Summer Camp Schedule 2010

We have designed these camps for riders of all skill levels and disciplines. As with our successful camps of the past, we will continue to hold separate camps for our young beginners (ages 5 to 8 years of age) and the more advanced intermediate (ages 8 and up) riders. The beginner students will get hands on training and experience in grooming, proper ride preparation, vital signs of a horse, riding instruction as well as participating in riding games and arts and craft activities. The intermediate classes will focus on instruction in the speed events typical for 4H and play-day competitions including straights, clovers and pole competition as well as continued education in equine first aid, daily care and show preparation. Camp attendees will need to provide proper riding attire (jeans or riding pants, heeled shoes, helmet for the younger riders), and a sack lunch. Sunscreen is highly recommended.
